The game against the Seattle was definitely a test.  The Chargers defense and offense played really well.   Obviously, the kicking game was a disaster.

We’ll see this week how the new kicker does- oh, just for something to think about the former Charger kicker – Josh Lambo, went 4 for 4 on FG in his last game.

Now, for Coach Lynn’s blunder- after the Chargers scored their 2nd TD he chose to go for 2 because their kicker had missed the prior extra point and they were down by 2 points.  It was still very early in the game.  The stats show the the 2 pt conversion is successful 60% of the time while the extra point is successful 96% of the time.  The smart thing to do was go for the 1 point.  That extra point was crucial at the end of the game.  If Lynn had gone for the extra point and it was successful than what happened at the end of the game would not have matter.   Okay, some of you would say that he knew hos kicker stunk, so that’s why he went for two.  Not so, because he went for the extra point several times later that in this game.

Once again, Coach Lynn may think he knows the game but he makes dumb decisions at critical points in the game.  I’m sorry but the Chargers aren’t going to make the playoffs again. Sadly, Rivers is having one of his best seasons.
