Spanos selling the team

By lacharger13 on Monday, January, 8th, 2018 in Football. No Comments

In 2000 I predicted that the Chargers would move to LA.  I’m predicting that in the next 3 years the Spanos will sell the team.  They will sell the team before they move into the new Inglewood stadium.  The Spanos don’t have the liquid cash to pay the yearly relocation fee of $65 million. I’ll […]

Mark Davis isn’t as dumb as he looks but Dean Spanos is dumber than he looks

By lacharger13 on Monday, January, 8th, 2018 in Football. No Comments

The hiring of Gruden was absolutely BRILLIANT!!!  When the Chargers announced they were moving to LA, they needed to create some buzz. The Chargers did exactly the opposite.  Their logo was a JOKE.  They didn’t do anything to excite the LA fans.  Their logo- fight for LA is just words.  Dean’s actions show that he isn’t […]

The season in retrospect

By lacharger13 on Monday, January, 8th, 2018 in Football. No Comments

A decent kicker and they would have made the playoffs.  They would have had a minimum of 2 more wins.  What the heck was the Chargers GM, Tom Telesco, thinking using their first draft pick on a wide receiver -Mike Williams?  I would fire Telesco for that terrible mistake.  I know he drafted Bosa but […]

Chargers problem

By lacharger13 on Saturday, December, 16th, 2017 in Football. No Comments

Well, the Chargers still have a huge problem- the last 2 minutes of any game that is close.  Have you notice that during the last 2 minutes the coaches don’t know how to maximize their timeouts.  They blow 15 to 20 seconds every time.  I’m amazed.  I don’t understand how they can’t do simple 4 […]

why Chargers are winning?

By lacharger13 on Saturday, December, 16th, 2017 in Football. No Comments

I speak to the few SD Charger fans and they are wondering what the heck happened to the Chargers. Well, the 3 biggest things are: 1) probably the most important thing is the overhaul of the offensive line, 2) a new coach that finally realizes that they need to be not so predictable on 1st and […]

Spanos game plan

By lacharger13 on Saturday, September, 23rd, 2017 in Football. No Comments

Is it possible that Dean is smarter than all of us?  I don’t think so but maybe he has his eye on the USC QB, Sam Darnold for the 1st pick of the 2018 draft.  It would create a lot of media and fan (what’s left of it))interest.

why the Chargers constantly loose close games

By lacharger13 on Saturday, September, 23rd, 2017 in Football. No Comments

There are several reasons: poor coaching, Rivers is way too unorganized in the last 2 or 3 minutes of the 4th qtr, no run game at all and they still try it-stupidity, and obviously – terrible field goal kicking. let’s review each reason- why does the coach call a 3rd down passing play that is short of […]

The 2017 Charger record

By lacharger13 on Monday, September, 11th, 2017 in Football. No Comments

Unfortunately, the Chargers will not make the playoffs.  They will be 6 -10 or 7 -9 this year.  They are in the toughest division in football.

Fight for LA begins tonight!!!

By lacharger13 on Monday, September, 11th, 2017 in Football. No Comments

The Chargers went out on a limb by drafting Mike Williams in the first round.  Obviously management knows that scoring creates excitement and buzz.  Rivers is still a great QB but has had some of the worst coaching you can imagine.  I think this year’s coaching won’t be much better than in the past.

LT

By lacharger13 on Saturday, August, 5th, 2017 in Football. No Comments

I remember some of LT’s great runs.  He was a STUD but more importantly he is a good person.  He keeps doing charity work in San Diego.  He would have even scored more TDs if Spanos didn’t trade away the best fullback of LT’s era- Lorenzo Neal.

The Draft

By lacharger13 on Wednesday, April, 26th, 2017 in Football. No Comments

What should the LA Chargers do?  I think this draft will be very insightful.  If they draft a DL like Jonathan Allen, then they are throwing away this year.  Yes, the Charger defense will be better but they will be leaving Rivers to get crushed!!! We have already seen years where Rivers is running for […]

LT sells out SD fans

By lacharger13 on Thursday, March, 30th, 2017 in Football. 2 Comments

So LT just accepted a position as special assistant to the owner.  This is an exact quote of why he said he took the position- “I want to create unique experiences for fans to engage with our players,” he explained with his trademark passion. “I want this to be a big program.  I want to […]

Joey Bosa – defensive rookie of the year

By lacharger13 on Tuesday, January, 17th, 2017 in Football. 2 Comments

I’m glad for Bosa but can’t help to think ” what if” the Spanos weren’t so focused on money.  They could have had Bosa here for the 1st preseason game and in playing condition not the 5th game of the season.  Bosa is a game changer and could have been a season changer.  All I […]

burning Charger jerseys

By lacharger13 on Tuesday, January, 17th, 2017 in Football. 1 Comment

I’ve been watching local stations showing fans burning their Charger jerseys.  Stop and think about what signal that is sending to the Charger players. The players aren’t happy about moving either but the are Spanos’ employees and can’t do anything about it.  Keep the jerseys, so many great ones through the years – Sproles is […]

The real reason the Chargers moved

By lacharger13 on Saturday, January, 14th, 2017 in Football. 2 Comments

Ever since the LA Clippers in 2014 sold for  $2 billion dollars the fate of us fans in San Diego was sealed.  I just wish the Spanos’ would have been honest and said it’s about a lot of money.  Read this article and you’ll see why he moved the team.
