I’m glad for Bosa but can’t help to think ” what if” the Spanos weren’t so focused on money.  They could have had Bosa here for the 1st preseason game and in playing condition not the 5th game of the season.  Bosa is a game changer and could have been a season changer.  All I can say is – Spanos that was beyond a dumb move not agreeing on the offset language and guaranteed money .  You won a battle but lost the season!!!

Great job Joey.  I and all your fans will continue to follow your exploits in LA, just wish it was here in San Diego

A billionaire owner may have a balance sheet which shows a net worth of $1 B, but has insufficient liquidity to support financial ratios which are required by lenders. Everyone seems to assume that he could have facilitated the funding of a new San Diego facility by writing a check. Stan Kroenke was able to do Inglewood with relative ease. Remember that his wife is a Sam Walton (WalMart) heiress…alone worth considerably more than Dean Spanos. Dean Spanos doesn’t have the financial wherewithal to have done so. It also explains why he didn’t write the Bosa check in September.

I do believe you are partially correct. He could have taken in partners or tried to secure a loan but he saw LA as the Golden Goose. he never wanted to stay in San Diego.
I’ll write more about his finances in the next few weeks.
